Editing pre-orders #

PreProduct allows you to update the quantity of a pre-order for existing line-items, as well as cancel pre-order line-items. Edits will then be reflected in Shopify or BigCommerce.
You can edit pre-orders from both the Customers screen and Listing dashboard‘s See all screen.

Refunding edits #

PreProduct supports both the partial and full refund of pre-orders, whether they’ve had a deposit or the full price paid. Tick the “Issue refunds” box from the customers or listing dashboard screen to refund edits and cancellations.

Editing shipping prices #

As of 2026, Shopify has started allowing edits to the shipping and pricing of pre-order orders without breaking the deferred charge mandate of the order. This opens up the opportunity of deferring your shipping calculation if you have shipping dimensions that are still being worked out. PreProduct doesn’t support shipping adjustments within the app, but Shopify does from its order edit screen. See the video below for full order edit through to deferred charge.
